Fleet Feet’s Savannah Rock N Roll Half Marathon Training

This program is designed for runners who can run at least 5 miles.  It will incorporate distance, speed, and hill work to prepare you for your half marathon.

Training site: Suwanee Greenway (Suwanee Sports Academy)

Start Date: Sunday August 5th at 8am

Info Session: Monday July 16th at 6pm in Johns Creek

Group Workouts: Long runs on Sundays at 8am & circuit training on Wednesdays at 6pm

Cost: $120 (does not include race registration)

Participants receive:

Daily training schedule
Group runs 2 days a week
Email access to trained coaches
Informational seminars going over form, nutrition, hydration, injury issues/prevention & more
Technical shirt and/or hat
Specific discount days at Fleet Feet for training program participant only

      That is a good question. The $115 is the training program price and that gets the following:
      * A personalized training schedule
      * Two coached workouts per week
      * Open forum with your coach to ask questions about your specific training
      * Pre-run warmup/stretching
      * Great camaraderie
      * Weekly email from trained coach with advice & tips
      * Education on proper form, fueling, pacing, stretching, injuries

  1. I’m looking for a gift and this seems like a good fit …. I have a few questions. If my husband travels and is only able to attend the run on sundays, but not circuit training will you offer a discount? He runs approx. 3 miles a day so i’m assuming he can run 5 miles, but how do you start training and how long is a “long run” on sundays? If he is unable to make the 1/2 in Nashville, will a coach attend a similar 1/2 with him around that time? thank you.

    • Hi Tracey,
      Yes, training programs makes a great gift. Unfortunately we cannot offer the program at a discount. We have many program that have to travel for work or other reasons and we do not offer them discounts either. We do offer many other things & he will have a plan given to him with the circuit training so he can do on his own. The program we will be using is through North Point Fitness and geared towards half marathon & full marathon training. A long run will probably be around 6 miles (give or take a few).   2. I have previously trained for and completed a 1/2 and a full marathon – but that was back in 2003. I have since completed a few 5k’s but am out of shape but would love to particpate and attempt to train for the 1/2 marathon. It would be a GREAT motivator for me to get back into it. What is your input on that?

      Congrats on your previous 1/2. Yes, I think this would be a great motivator for you. We have had others that were in your same situation. The group atmosphere is great and good accountability.
